Continuing from my announcement on Modbox months back on TGA, I am pleased to inform you lovies that Modbox is back in business!

Shipped last Saturday, I was honestly surprised to receive my blogger kit today! Talk about express delivery. Feeling excited, I immediately opened my Modbox to discover what is inside. To be frank, I did my research on the items available which kinda killed the surprise as I already knew what I was going to get! But I must admit that it was better than what I initially expected!

This time, the product details were bundled up in cards which is quite a refreshing change!

This has to be my favourite sample from the lot. One - cause I like Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams. I'm normally not a fan of lavender but the scent of this hand cream is rather mild. It is effective in keeping your hands soft to the touch. Plus it also comes with a couple extras - 1 x 0.5ml Somerset Meadow EDT vial + 1 x 5ml sachet of Tarocco Orange Body Lotion
The Somerset Meadow EDT smells rather citrusy which I guess appeals to the fruity scent lovers!

I have this item in full size and have used it quite often. I like that it's lightweight and creates a natural finish. No irritation or redness, plus it lasts for almost the whole day which means very little touching up! (depending on your skin type though)
This sample is so cute! Easily fits into your clutch! All you need is a travel size brush or sponge... Plus, it contains UV protection!
Another thing to note that it is a local brand! So, show some support to Ronasutra!

I first heard of Unico from another beauty box. As I already own the eye cream, I look forward to pairing it with this cream.
It's always vital to protect your skin with sunscreen. Previously, I was never one to wear sunscreen unless I'm at the beach because I am already tan, so I figured there was no point to applying it daily. Boy, was I wrong! After meeting with skin specialists, they always state the importance of applying sunscreen! So, I listened! I do admit, I have some cheat days but I balance it by wearing foundation that contains SPF.
What turned me off to applying sunblock/cream is the greasy feel. Like most sunblock, these cream tends to leave a whitish tint on my face.
The UNICO Advanced UV Defence cream absorbs quite fast but my skin does feel a tad greasy. I will test this out in coming days! This 7g sample should last me at least a couple of weeks (if used sparingly)
The scent is very mild and quite pleasant.

My Second Date With Babor

Heya lovies,
I first heard of (and tried out) Babor from my Lilac Box months ago. What initially attracted me is the golden packaging which seems to be a recurring "theme" of the brand. I then found out that Babor means "luxury" in German, how fitting! Plus, with its effective array of products and topping the industry as the no.1 ampoules manufacturer in the world, it's no wonder that Babor is one of the world's trusted brand.

Thanks to The Lilac Box and Babor Malaysia, I was invited to my second date with Baborwhich funnily enough took place at Redbox Pavillion. At first thought, my mind immediately drove into a sing-k session and wondering how exactly are we going to have a beauty workshop smacked in the middle of a karaoke spot.

But surprise suprise! We were sent to a lovely (and spacious) room equipped with tables filled with Babor goodies! Honestly speaking, I never knew Redbox Pavillion accommodates such a pretty room to conducts workshops like this!
But before the workshop, we were treated to the buffet at Redbox. I was too hungry to take any photos of my lunch! *oops*

Greeted by the emcee for the day, Chee Siong...
Mr. Michael Ong, the MD of Babor Malaysia (Luxor) welcomed the participants before Cyndi, Babor's Training Manager commenced the workshop...

My partners for the day, the ever stunning and infectious Sharon and her gorgeous mom, Rita.. As this workshop was mainly for mother-daughter duos, I was really impressed with Sharon's mom who was such a sport to join her that day. I could never convince my mom to tag along for this sort of events!
To start off, we were all given the Babor beauty bag consisting of products to be applied during the workshop
Headband and towel - check! It's time to get started!

No brainer that the first step is CLEANSING - using Babor HY-ÖL (200 ml; RM170) and Phytoactive Base (100 ml; RM140)

Application: The Art of the Ritual turns the everyday into something special
Phase 1:

Step 1: HY-ÖL is applied to the face (do not moisten skin beforehand) and massaged into the skin using gentle circling movements. It not only cleanses thoroughly and deep down without attacking the skin’s acid mantle but also restores this protective layer as you cleanse. It contains 100 per cent pure hydrophilic oils (soybean oil, sesame oil and peanut oil), which blend completely with cool water and thus remove oil-soluble particles from the skin. Free of preservatives, it is particularly gentle on the skin.

Step 2: The Phytoactive is applied on top of the HY-ÖL and massaged gently into the skin. Phytoactives contain natural herbal essences to condition specific skin types. Thanks to the the carefully coordinated blend of herbs, HY-ÖL has a synergistic and potentiating effect.

Phase 2:

To round off the cleansing ritual, the combination of HY-ÖL-Phytoactive combination is gently massaged into the skin with moistened fingers until a milky emulsion is formed. Rinsing it off with cool water has a hydrotherapeutic effect: the pores contract and the microcirculation is stimulated. Finally, a fascinating work of art emerges in the form of beautifully clear, cleansed skin.
I really enjoy the soothing scents of this cleansing duo. Also, that it emulsifies the oil to a mild creamy texture once moisten with water.

Step Two is SCRUB to exfoliate and smooth using Babor Mild Peeling Cleanser. This mild peeling cream consists of ground, rounded peach kernels which conditions the skin and promotes skin regeneration

Although I do noticed my skin was cleaner and brighter after the scrub, I had a tingling (and itchy) sensation when I had this scrub on. I noticed my skin was red once I took it off. Guess this scrub was a tad harsh on my sensitive skin.

We move on to step three which is the MASK using Babor SKINOVAGEPX Intensifier Comfort Cream Mask (50ml at RM 215)
This rich cream mask with precious soybean and sesame oil treats the skin, leaving it smooth and supple, while shea butter balances the hydro-lipid mantle. Other active ingredients are OsmoTec and Alpine stem cells.
The Comfort Cream Mask smells mildly relaxing. However, similar to the scrub, my skin encountered irritation. But was soon relieved once I removed the mask. I guess my skin might be sensitive to certain active ingredients in these two products

Step four is TONE using Babor Thermal Spray (200ml at RM 250). This nurturing spray provides 100% moisture for face and body and soothes the skin. Pure thermal water sourced from Aachen's hot springs boasting with minerals and micro nutrients, refreshes and soothes the skin. For a refreshing energy-kick on the go, the spray can be applied over make-up. Another bonus, it contains no alcohol!
Easily my favorite item so far. Initially, I felt that it was a tad greasy on my face but it immediately absorbs onto my skin and I could feel my skin getting softer and supple after. Plus, the scent is truly refreshing!

The next step is BOOST the face! And what I mean by this is giving your face a gorgeous and healthy glow using Babor Fluid Ampoule.
As mentioned earlier, Babor is the world's leading ampoules manufacturer. Hence, I was really eager to find out all the rage about this miraculous liquid.
Containing highly concentrated active ingredients, this fluid absorbs quickly resulting in glowing skin! An all-in-one ampoule which acts as thirst-quencher, SOS, instant effect, vitamin bomb, "peacemaker" and problem-solver. It's no wonder the world can't get enough of it!

Following suit are the EYES using HSR® Lifting eye cream (30ml at RM 490)

With the HSR® Lifting Integral Complex this highly effective anti-wrinkle eye cream gives the delicate skin around the eye area more elasticity. In addition, an active ingredient composition made from peptides, green beans and rutin compresses the collagen network making skin look visibly tighter and smoother. Natural oils like macadamia oil, corn seed oil and shea butter provide additional treatment. Vitamin E acts as a “radical catcher”. This perfume-free formula has been tested by dermatologists and eye doctors and meets the highest standards.
This eye cream has a velvety texture which makes application a breeze!

The next step is MOISTURIZER. To moisturize our skin, we used SKINOVAGEPXAdvanced Biogen Mimical Control Cream (50ml at RM 455)
This effective cream with Mimical Control peptides reduces expression lines. These peptides relieve micro-tensions in the skin and have been shown to reduce the depth of lines. It also contains the key active ingredients in this range which are OsmoTec and Alpine stem cells. 
I really like this moisturizer. Not only does it smell great, my skin is soft to the touch as well as well-hydrated!

Lastly is PROTECT your skin! And by this, using Babor sun care system!
I find the cream to be a tad greasy on my face. But I wasn't bothered by it because at the end of the day, my skin was looking rather radiant!

Just look at Sharon and her mom. They were glowing after using Babor. Babor products really suits them both well!

Nearing the end of last month, the awesome and super happening Butterfly Project took us, butterflies on an adventure! After months of headaches (from all the planning), screaming and panicking (which I'm guessing took place at some point), Mamasan and the SWAT hard work came to fruition.

Heaps of entries to win a spot to the much anticipated, first-ever stateside trip were flooding in. Honestly, I was hoping to get selected as one of the lucky 30 bloggers to participate in The Lost World of Tambun Review Trip! When I discovered via FB that my entry was announced as one of the winning entries! "OMG!!" I literally screamed and went crazy excited! Everyone at any point in their life have to deal with stress. Be it as a student, an employee, an employer, a parent and so on. Life without stress seems almost impossible. Myriad of responsibilities, bills, goals, datelines and other stressful factors tend to trigger the worse in us...

Continuing from my first post, we butterflies made our way to The Lost World of Tambun.

Upon reaching Ipoh train station, we were all in awe of this majestic building. It's such a sight to behold! It is one of Ipoh's gem that is well persevered by the Ipoh Tourism Board.
You could just tell how excited everyone were!

It was then time to hop on the bus to our destination - LWOT. The awesome lads, Syawal and Firdaus ushered us and gave out cold towels to everyone. The refreshing scent of rose water and the cooling sensation of the towel felt totally invigorating. Boy, were we spoiled to the max!
