TGA Verdict:

My first Yadah item that I tried out. I had Yadah samples that are catered to oily skin so I didn't try them out cause I was afraid to as my skin is rather sensitive.

Anyway, I've been using this facial mist almost daily and I am sold! I always enjoy spritzing mist on my face to combat dehydrated and dry skin, especially in this humid weather. And I must say, at only RM 25 this item is a steal! I guess it's called Cactus Mist, because just like cactus, this facial mist stores "water" in every drop, instantly refreshes and hydrates your skin. Love, love it!

Instant Perk-Me-Up!

I have tried out some Touch in Sol products and lovin' it so far. However, this lip tint is a first for me. I normally resort to applying lipstick but I'm gradually converting into lip tint because of this goodie.

To note, the color is simply stunning. It's a bright yet deep shade of red which instantly goes well with any skin tone. Then, the smell - the uber decilious cherry scent leaves you wanting to munch it off, but personally for me, I dislike the taste. It's rather medicine-y for my liking. It's not as long lasting but it does leave a natural tint on my lips which is nice.

Taste aside, still a good product nonetheless. I'm hooked!

Nature & Co Vital Purity Lift Mask

How to use:

TGA Verdict:

Looking rather dull and beat after a long day!

Quick tip - place this mask in the fridge before use. This way, the mask has a cooling sensation on skin.

I was rather skeptical at first when I saw the name - purity lift mask. I mean, does it really purify and lift as it says?

Let's see. This mask has a clay texture and consistency. It can get rather messy so wear a headband! Anyway, the mask is really easy to apply on skin. Since I kept it in the fridge, I immediately felt the cooling effect on my skin. The scent is so relaxing and soothing.
Anyway, then the most amazing thing happened. I could feel my skin getting tighter. I was stunned. OMG! It really works!

Looking refreshed and after applying the mask. My skin looks so much clearer, brighter and firmer too!

And best of all, you only need to wear it for 5 minutes which is surprising quick. Anyway, 5 minutes into the mask, I rinsed off with water (without using any cleanser) and was shocked! My face was brighter and much cleaner (purifying - check!)

I must say, this mask is amazing. Never big on "clay" mask but this mask is nothing short but amazing and effective! Well, Nature & Co is another brand under Kose, so go figure!

True to its name, these lotions are definitely light as it instantly absorbs onto skin. However, as I only received a sachet each, I can't comment on effectiveness on skin whitening and such.

Granted as this is my first ever event with The Butterfly Project, I was so excited but at the same time nervous as it was my first event with them and I haven't had the chance to meet all these lovely bloggers (until that day, of course). But my nervousness was soon diminished with warmth greetings and friendly faces. Prominent beauty blogger, Tammy Lim from Plus Size Kitten, the founder of The Butterfly Project immediately made me feel at ease as soon as we spoke. As a reader of her blog, I can say she's as pretty,friendly and bubbly in person as she is in her blog. Plus, she's really funny too, cracking jokes that got us bloggers laughing our bums off!

Then I also had a nice chat with Mi Mi Teh, the darling behind Bag of Love. I met her weeks before this event at the Kanebo workshop that was organized by Bag of Love. She's so bubbly, warm and stunning! She also looks incredible despite being a young mother of two super cute kids (which til today still surprises me cause Mi Mi looks effortless beautiful and young always). FYI - she left her job as a beauty writer in top magazine houses to be with her family and later starting her very own beauty subscription business. What an inspiration!

As we waited for the event to kick off, I immediately thrust into "photographer" mode, taking heaps of pictures of the delectable spread of yummy, sweet treats catered just for us, as well as the quaint and homely ambiance of Delectable Treats. The interior is visually beautiful, capturing you with the cute deco which are playful and fun.

Time to begin the Tea Party! There were two sessions, one in the morning and another after. Moi was in Session 2.

Tammy started off with her welcome speech (her second one that day). Love how spontaneous and funny she is, always smiling and giggling - so engaging!

P.S:Just so you know, Bag of Love was the only beauty bag/box that The Butterfly Project worked with. Tammy had to politely decline a lot of invitations from the others but agreed to collaborate with Bag of Love. So, this a very special moment indeed!

Next was Mi Mi, who spoke with love and passion about Bag of Love which includes her experiences and encounters as she strives to come up with special beauty bags each month for her customers. For the month of April, the bags were made from eco-friendly material and each products in the bag are either natural, organic or contribute someway or another to the environment. More on that later!

We were spoilt with the Tea Time Treats at Delectable by Su. Not only does it looks good, it tastes even better! Nom nom nom...

I totally loved the debut bag from Bag of Love heaps. Anyway, thanks to Mi Mi & Bag of Love, I received an April edition Bag of Love at the Unzipping Tea Party at Delectable Treats by Su in collaboration with The Butterfly Project.

You probably saw my sneek peek of the bag in my previous post

So lovies, let's get right to the bag...

As mentioned previously, in honour of Earth Month, Bag of Love went green! The bags of the April edition are made from eco-friendly material and each product inside are either natural, organic, or contribute someway or another to the environment.

I must say, I'm impressed! The bag itself is sturdy and spacious. I'm totally loving the idea of receiving bags every month instead of boxes cause they're just much prettier (I'm shallow like that, haha). Plus, I love the idea of different bag designs every month. Collect them all!

This month's bag is special. A canvas bag with a custom woven Bag of Love tag inside.

Mi Mi did mention about leakage during shipments of the April bag. She did apologized and was sweet enough to send out a replacement bag to her customers who encountered this problem. Shows to prove how much customer satisfaction is pivotal to Bag of Love. Much respect!

P.S: My second bag (I also subscribed a bag prior to the tea party) had leaked out. But to my surprise, the bag dried out rather quickly and didn't leave any stains!

Back by popular demand! This goodie came at the right time. I recently started contouring my face, and I was crazy happy when I saw this brush in my bag. Like totes cray cray!

Been using this for a while now and completely loving it! You can tell why it's such a hit among the bloggers at the tea party! Big love!

Btw, this brush retails at RM 88, this brush itself more than doubles the price of the Bag of Love monthly subscription! Wowzers!

| NUXE Brightening BB Cream SPF 30/PA+++ | 15ml

Retail Price: RM120 for 30 ml

I received this BB Cream in a 15ml tube (meaning it would retail at about RM 60!) Woots!!

At first, I reckon I wasn't going to like this BB cream because it seems rather sticky in texture but I still went and try it out. To my surprise, the cream blended in nicely with my skin, creating an almost natural flawless look. The color is natural and should suit most Asian skin tone.The scent is similar to many NUXE products, so I'm guessing it's the signature scent.

My skin didn't feel dry even though I had it one the whole day. I'm not sure how it would fair on oily skin as the sticky texture of this product may be off putting.

All in all, a good product from a great French brand.

So, I calculated that this 15ml sample itself costs RM 81.30! Woots

Anyway, this hydrating cream has a sweet, floral scent that's really soothing. Hence, I wear this at night before sleep.

I was pleasantly surprised upon my first application of this cream. My face looked brighter at an instant! I like that this cream absorbs into skin pretty quickly despite it being a tad greasy. I guess that's the potent hydrating secret of the cream.

I seriously squeaked in delight when I saw this bottle. I've been meaning to purchase a sleep mist for a while now but everytime I wanted to buy one, it's always sold out. So, I'm uber happy with this one!

The highlight is definitely the scent. A powerful mist containing jujube date extract, Community Trade camomile and blended essential oils which is sure to knock you out to slumerland. I've been spritzing this baby every night without fail. I wish it had longer lasting power thought. The scent fades quite fast but by then I'm already in a deep sleep *hehe*

P.S: I calculated that this 60ml bottle is about RM 35.40 (although the retail price is RM 39.90 in TBS stores)

I received the intense hydration brilliance shampoo which is ideal for me as my hair is more on the "dry-end". So, kudos to Bag of Love for getting the right shampoo for me.

I was keen to try this shampoo out as it's my first attempt on a Phytojoba product. Lathers decently well and smells like a floral caramel candy - I know I'm not making any sense but that is how it smells to me!

I was tad bummed out when I opened the bottle though - it was half full (meaning also half empty)

Anyway, upon calculation, this 50ml sample costs about RM 22

| BURT'S BEE Richly Replenishing Cocoa & Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion | 6.5g

Retail Price: RM62.80 for 170ml

This is a 99% natural body lotion with 24 hours moisturization, meaning it is perfect for people with dry skin! It does absorb into skin quickly (it's non-greasy) and my skin did look better after applying this body lotion.

However, I find the scent too overpowering for my liking. Normally I'm ok with scented products but not a fan of this body lotion and the scent unfortunately.

So, how much does this sample retails about? Let's see, this 6.5g sample is about RM 2.40

Oh Vanity Trove, it's like you knew exactly what I NEEDED! As all my bottles of hair serums had run out, I was in search of a new one. So, I was crazy excited when I got this in my trove.

Firstly, it's full size Schwarzkopf hair serum. I'm a happy Schwarzkopf Professional user for a while now. Plus, I have yet to try out the Essensity collection.
I like how lightweight this serum is. The milky white texture creates a natural-looking shine and hydrates my hair decently well. The smell took a while to get use to but I also enjoy that it's mild.

Avene Gentle Gel Cleanser

I received 3 different Avene products in one trove, and in the other I received the Avene Thermal Spring Water. One of my closest friend swears by this brand. She's been using it for years and raves about it! So, typically I was stoked to try out these products.
This gel cleanser is very mild and great to use in mornings as it did not remove my makeup well. I like my cleansers in a rich foam (I just feel cleaner that way), hence I was not crazy over this one as it's gel texture and does not lather.

Really lightweight hydrating cream. Glides nicely onto skin, and in an instant you can notice your skin feeling moisturized. The smell is pleasant and mild (to the extend you could barely notice it). Must say, I'm kinda digging this product!

I do admit, I have a bad habit of not applying sunscreen (which my sister reminds me often). However, I compensate by using product that contains SPF and such. Anyway, I used this cream before my outdoor shoot and I'm sold! The high SPF contain definitely helped in protecting my skin from getting burned which is a big deal as my skin is so sensitive that even few minutes under the sun, I'll get burned. So, protection from sun - checked!
Plus, it's so lightweight that you barely feel like you're using sunscreen. It does not smell like your typical sunblock which is a big bonus! And no white patches and greasy afterfeel unlike normal sunscreens. Just hydrated and soft skin with super high sun protection. Definitely an item I would purchase in full size!

I cringed a little when I saw this (silly me)! You see, I've been using body shower creams for the longest time, that I don't own any soap bar except for the Dove one to clean my makeup brushes.
Anyway, never judge anything until you give it a try (which I did). And to my absolute surprise, I can admit that this is my favourite item in this trove! For someone with dry skin, this soap is heaven-sent! I tried not using body lotion just to test the hydrating power, and guess what, my skin still felt soft and moisturized. This is a pretty big deal as my skin gets really irritated and itchy if I don't apply body lotion for days.
It's amazing how I can go about taking two showers a day using this soap which lasts me about a month. The smell is mild yet lovely. I'm totally recommending this soap bar to everyone! I love it heaps!

I was really impressed with this brand when I received the YR shower gel in Box 3! I knew I got to get my hands on more products! Hence, this event was the perfect "second date"!

This Lilac Encounter with Yves Rocher took place last Saturday at Gardens Lifestyle Cafe located at Sunway Pyramid. Being a noob around Sunway, I actually got lost inside the mall itself. And just my luck, the directories were nowhere in sight! After I finally managed to go thru the maze that is Sunway Pyramid, I found the venue!

I must say, Garden is the ideal location to conduct this Lilac Encounter. The obvious reason is the matching theme of both the cafe and Yves Rocher - Gardens/ Botanical Beauty.

This particular Lilac Encounter with Yves Rocher is special as it was not only extended to the Lilac Bloggers but also to the lucky subscribers of Box 3. Kudos to the three guys of The Lilac Box for organizing such an event! As most subscribers aren't blogger, they don't usually get the chance to attend such events. So, this was indeed a wonderful treat for their subscribers and fans...

As I made my way to registration, I was greeted by friendly faces - Rudi from The Lilac Box and May Chin from Yves Rocher.

May gave me an (empty) green box which contained a passport. At first, I was rather surprised as to why the box was empty. After heading in the room and opening my "passport", I quickly realized that everyone is required to stop by each booth and discover the most suitable Yves Rocher product for us. I thought this was brilliant concept! Instead of getting random deluxe samples that might or might not suit me, I was being introduced to the array of Yves Rocher products and scents that personifies me best.

Excitedly, I had my photo taken first at the "Sweet Memory" booth, as the queue at the other stations were rather long.

Smile! Noticed then that I was in YR brand color, green! So matchy-matchy with the background!

Then, I was attended by the lovely Sy Wei of Yves Rocher. She first took me to discover the perfect YR scent for me at "My fragrance is ME" booth.
FYI - There was a lil' questionnaire to fill up in my passport. Upon answering it, I figured out that I was in between two scents - "Powerful and Indepent" and "Romantic and Feminine". Sy Wei then suggested few scents that might appeal to me. Her first option was immediately the perfect one for me - Moment De Bonheur. I totally adore the sweet, floral, sexy scent! I'm actually wearing it now as I blog. *sniffs wrist*

Sy Wei then took me to the next booth which is "Les Plaisirs Nature". With so many wonderful, invigorating scents to choose from, we were definitely spoilt for choice! I love the earthy, natural, fruity scents of each products. After much sniffing, I decided upon the Olive body lotion, which I think is simply yummy. Plus, it's really nourishes the skin.

Next station is "My Skin Care" booth. Honestly speaking, I was rather nervous to discover the age of my skin! Was so not ready to know if my skin is actually younger or older than I am. Gosh, I'm so paranoid at times!

Anyway, I braced myself and just went for it.

This machine is really interesting. Within minutes, it can calculate the percentages of different factors of your skin, which then accumulates to the average age of your skin.

These factors were broken into spots, pores, roughness, wrinkle, acne and UV spots.

The verdict is in! The age the machine calculated was in fact younger than my actual age. You can imagine how happy (and relieved) I was when I saw my results. Felt as though I passed an exam! Haha. This was an eye-opening experience! From that day onwards, I promised to start applying sunscreen religiously as I don't want to look any older than I already do!

Last stop is the "Perfect Match Foundation" booth. I was quite keen to find out the perfect foundation for me as I am still looking for "the one".
Fatin, the lovely consultant explained the ideal foundation for me to wear. I figured it would be liquid, but surprisingly it was Yves Rocher Comfort Cream Foundation.

Truly lightweight and smooth! Retails at RM 65, I might just get one for myself!

As this was the last booth of the day, everyone were busy browsing all the different Yves Rocher products available here. Plus, the were special promos for us that day!

Besides the amazing YR products that were given out - we were also treated to a scrumptious buffet lunch at Gardens. I was too hungry to take any photos of the food, but trust me! It was delicious! Since I found out that the nearest Gardens cafe (for me) is located at Mid Valley, I might just drop by one day to try out more of their yummy offerings!

Simply shake the bottle well to mix the two liquids together before applying it on cotton pad. What's great about this product is that it doesn't melt your makeup instead it lifts it and transfers it onto the cotton pad, which makes rubbing your skin unnecessary. It's so gentle to the eyes and doesn't sting my eyes one bit.

I totally adore the soothing and fruity scent! Such a lovely product that triples as a luxurious moisturizer, massage oil and skin repair treatment. Frankly speaking, the sample wasn't enough! Need to snag myself the full size bottle soon!

I received this sample previously in another beauty bag. And I totally adore it. I gave one to my mum, and within days she had told me that her skin is glowing and much supple which I noticed myself too. The scent (like all Decleor products) is simply addictive. Really calming and relaxing, making applying this cream on my face whole lot more enjoyable. It works nicely in hydrating my skin and leaving it so soft and bright!

It can seem a bit greasy so I normally wear this product in the evening/night and wake up to smooth and healthy skin!

I really love receiving lip balms in my beauty boxes. As mentioned before, I religiously apply lip balm every night before sleep. So, this lip balm is my current staple.

At first, it melted too much on my lips. I guess this was due to the heat from the packaging and delivery duration. However, I left this lip balm overnight in the fridge to solidify it and it did just the trick!
It's kinda greasy for my liking so I use this only at night. But dont be mistaken, this lipbalm really softens and moisturizes my lips! In addition, this lipbalm is natural and made in Malaysia. So, it has my full support!

This is my third time receiving this shampoo and second for the masque. However, no complaints here as I loveeeeeeeeeee these products. It works insanely well on my hair. Within just one wash and mask, I had compliments on my hair. My hair color were more vibrant and overall, my hair looked healthier, softer and smoother. I am without doubt getting more of these amazing hair products as soon as all my samples finishes (which should be quite soon as I've been using them often). Looking forward to trying out the entire Liss Ultime range.
L'oreal, you have gotten my stamp of approval on these two goodies. I can't rave about this products enough! Big ♥♥♥♥♥!!

Just look at the intricate designs of this collection. The animal motives featuring the stripey zebra, the spotty leopard and the lanky giraffe matches beautifully with the pen's design. And the additional accessories of hanging feathers, tassels, bead, etc are too gorgeous to not be noticed!

The pink with zebra motives is my favourite among the three (mainly cause it's pink!Lol). Unlike the bionic pen, this move pen doesn't have a pocket clip, however, it has a twist cap which is pretty unique. STABILO highlighters has always been be my staple. I love how lasting it is even when I accidentally forget to put the cap back on. Surprisingly, it doesn't dry as quickly and still works well!

Also, the colors are so vivid and vibrant upon paper which is a huge plus point. I have tried other highlighters (which I disliked) because the colors ends up faint and unappealing.

I've noticed that STABILO highlighters remain its vibrant stains even after a long time! I like all the six colors that it's hard for me to choose a favourite! When I showed them to my nieces and nephews, their first reaction was "Wahhhhhhhh".

Thanks to Payot for giving me a full size Hydra24 Perfection BB cream to try out! I was pleasantly surprised to receive this goodie in my bag. Was so elated that I had to put it to the test the next morning!

PAYOT advice: Apply on the face in a thin, even layer. Blend well to achieve the desired coverage. Use alone or as a make-up base.

Blended the BB cream on the left side. Such a natural finish. A small size pea of this cream suffice to be applied all over my face!
As much I as I love applying BB creams because it's so lightweight and natural, I can't seem to find the perfect one to suit my tan skin. I'm glad that Payot released their BB cream in Light and Medium (which should suit me perfectly).
I was given the Light shade, which surprisingly didn't look too white on my face. A little goes a long way, as this cream glides easily on to skin, and instantly blending to create a natural, flawless complexion. I also like that this cream is buildable which is ideal for people who wants more coverage.

The smell isn't overpowering. There isn't a particular scent to this BB cream but it somewhat reminded me of fragrance-free products that I often use.
Truly long-lasting as it doesn't fade off easily, even in this humid weather! Plus my skin was still hydrated! I didn't experience any irritation when I use this BB cream which is a really good thing!

Wish I had it in Medium instead so I could use it often but I decided to pass the "Light" one to my sis for her to enjoy as it suits her skin tone better.

Last Saturday (6th July 2013), I made my way to Sunway Lagoon for an exclusive Celcom 4G LTE Bloggers Race. If you're following my IG and FB, I'm certain you've seen photos and updates from that day.

Anyway, here's the deets on that fun (and sunny) day!

We first gathered at the entrance for registration. As I had no clue who were the other contestants and celebs that were joining in the race, I was eagerly anticipating everyone's arrival - many of which are familiar faces and even some new ones!

After getting tagged up, we were treated to breakfast as everyone needs to "fuel up" before the race. It was also a great time to catch up and mingle with the other contestants (especially fellow MHB bloggers whom I haven't seen in a while!) Plus, the celebrities that were present that day - Iqram Dinzly, Kamal Adli, Along Cham & Ezzrin Loy!!! No surprise that many people at Sunway Lagoon were starstrucked that Saturday!

After speeches and briefing by the organizers and Celcom team - fast forward to 10.30AM and it's RACE TIME! Divided into teams of 5, we were assigned to find our own teammates. Luckily for me, I found mine pretty fast!

Being our typical selves, we managed to strike a few poses before the race started to get us in the mood!

Let the games begin!

So, the task of this Celcom 4G LTE Bloggers Race is to solve the clues given and look for the "hidden marshalls" at each station. Upon completing each game, the marshall will then issue a "PASS" which is worth 10 points each. The top three team with the highest score will move on to the final stage.

Seems simple enough right? Factoring in the crowd, the long queues and running around the entire Sunway Lagoon area, it was pretty challenging (but so much fun)!

The first thing each team did was strategize! We got ourself a map of the area and tried to figure out which clue fits where!

The first station we went to was the Dunk Machine!

In this challenge, a team member has to hit the target and dunk the other team mate into the machine! So, how good is your aim? I was totally in shock when I managed to hit the target and dunk Mei Sze on my first attempt. Woots!

Unfortunately, not all teams were successful and a few were penalized. Team White had to duck walk but they looked too darn cute! They even held their ears while doing it. Awwww!

Remember doing this as a little kid in school whenever you got punished by a teacher?

Next was my favourite challenge- the ATV. It was a first time for me! Had to get used to the ATV for a bit, but after that it was easy breezy. We had to count all the different coloured flags while navigating our way on the ATV. What a challenge - totally loved it!

I have to admit, kayaking is not easy! First time trying it out and was tired by the time we were done. It was a good exercise though!

Then, it was time to flyyyyyyyyyyyy! Flying fox, here we come!

It was then time to get WET! The other challenges were water obstacles (*coughs* rides *coughs*).

Vuvuzela - the latest attraction at Sunway Lagoon. You gotta try it out!

After trying our bestest to complete as many challenges within the time duration, all teams were to submit their passes to be tallied.

The Zesty Chicks didn't make it to the top 3 but we weren't down cause we had heaps of fun! We were laughing and enjoying ourselves throughout the race, woohoo!

Back to the race - it was up to Team Black, Team Purple and Team White to complete the second stage of the race - the search for the Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

Like every girl out there, I too ♥ being introduced to exciting and awesome make-up brands! Thanks to the lovely Mabel and HiShop, I scored myself an invite to a super sweet treat! It was a candylicious make-up party with bloop at their outlet in Sunway Pyramid

Adorned in bright pink exterior and deco, bloop's outlet in SP is a gorgeous sight!

I'm certain you've heard of bloop - captivating their every growing fanbase with creative and eye-catching packaging of products that works great, and at such a reasonable price tag to boot! If you haven't heard of them yet, I'm so glad to introduce bloop to you lovies!

I've only tried out one bloop product prior to attending this makeup party. Hence, I was elated to try out the different goodies bloop has to offer! Upon discovering that bloop products are alcohol-free, fragrance-free and all natural - I was sold!

Feast your nails on these goodies!

My first bloop item was their cracked nail polish in Black which naturally became one of my favourite shatter nail polish as it's fast-drying and creates stunning cracked effects on my nails.

As everyone settled down and got themselves comfortable, it's time to get the party started! Celia, bloop's lovely Brand Elevation & Architecture Manager started off by introducing the brand to us! Followed by a few words from the kind and sweet Mrs. Chan, the lady who founded bloop

Moving onwards, it was time to try out the different bloop products! The basic makeup demo by Mrs. Chan was next!

First step to makeup is cleansing! With a clean and flawless canvas, we can then create beautiful art!

Using bloop makeup remover (water-base) in lifting motions all over the face and downwards for the nose. This makeup remover is amazing! So lightweight and it removed my makeup effectively, even my stubborn eyeliner and mascara traces were wiped off in one simple swipe. I was really impressed! Best of all, it did not sting my eyes one bit!

Then enters the skincare routine - toner & moisturizer

For toning the skin, we tried out bloop Marine Botanical Toner (RM 28 for 35g)

I felt instantly refreshed after using this toner! It also helps to tighten and minimize the pores

Sealing in moisture, we slapped on a generous amount ofbloop Marine 4-in-1 Pure Aloe Vera Gel (RM 28 for 35g)

This wonderful gel whitens, hydrates, moisturizes and soothes your skin, all at the same time!

Now that our skin was prepped, time to use bloop's foundation. Their foundations are available in liquid (for light to medium coverage), cream and stick (for medium to heavy coverage). The coverage depends on the application.

Totally adore the 360degrees angle of the foundation. So sleek and modern. Plus, it looks like a cute mobile phone!

At this party, we tried out bloop Candy Cream Foundation (RM 58). This is a pretty flexible product as you can use the sponge either wet or dry, based on your preference. I like that this cream foundation is suitable on my skin. There was no irritation and it didn't felt cakey, instead it was so lightweight with a natural finish. I really like this lots! And was really glad to discover that no.29 was the ideal shade for my tan skin! Only bummer is that for people with darker skin tone, there aren't too many shades that might suit you as the other shades might be too light on you.

We then sealed the foundation with bloop Candy Two-Way Cake (RM 58). There are 4 shades to choose from. This is another lightweight foundation that creates a natural finish. I felt as though I didn't have any foundation on my skin and yet my skin looked bright and glowing. Wowzers!

Our cheeks were next. Time to get those cheeks rosy with bloop Candy Blusher (RM 48). Available in 4 candylicious shades, this blusher comes in a handy brush applicator and mirror.

If you fancy blusher with a puff, then bloop LV Puff Puff (RM 38) might just suit you! bloopblushers are pigmented and comes in such pretty shades!

Wink wink- it's time to bat those pretty lashes! Eye makeup was next!

There was 2 eyeshadow palettes to pick from Earthy or Colorful which retails at RM 89 each. It's such a steal considering that each palette consists of 15 mono eyeshadows

I opted for the earthy palette as it suits my skin tone better! Like the array of glimmer, matte and silky eyeshadows on each palette. So easy to mix and match.

The product that got me hooked was bloopliquid pen eyeliner! This is a must-have for everyone! I totally swear by it! It is quick drying with excellent precision. Within seconds of applying this eyeliner, the lines were nicely set and pigmented. No smudging or stain transfer! Oh boy, I am totally in ♥ with this goodie!

Remember to enhance those gorgeous brows! Using bloopeyebrow pencil, it's so easy to line and draw your eyebrows up to your preference!

Lastly, time to pucker up! There are a nice selection of lip products from bloop

There's bloop Candy Lipstick (RM 38), bloop Candy Duo Lipstick (RM 38) and bloop LV Lip Gloss (RM 28). Do check out the various shades available at HiShophere

We tried out the Candy Duo Lipstick - Magic which is so true to its name! Sheer at first, once applied on lips, it changes color. My lips were shade of deep pink!

But, wait! That's not all. A candy makeup contest took place. We had to use the different bloop products to create the most creative, fun and candylicious makeup look in just 15 minutes! My oh my!

Granted, I'm naturally not creative so I experimented with different bloop products to create heart and candy shapes plus glitter on my lips and such! I even had one of the lovely ladies to draw out the bloop logo on my cheek!

The verdict's out.. Winners of the Candy Makeup Contest and Candy Draw were announced. Big congrats to Charmaine, Wendy, Ben Dan and Mieza..

And guess what! I won too! I guess Lady Luck was smiling upon me that day (and maybe cause I was wearing pink which is the theme color for bloop and HiShop), that I won two prizes that day! Double whammy!

So, not only did I win the RM 100 bloop shopping voucher, I also won a prize from the Candy Draw. I figured myself very lucky to have won the makeup contest that I didn't think much of the Candy Draw. Like, come on, what were my chances! So, when my number was read out, I was shocked. I was happily eating a mini donut when my number was called out. Had to quickly swallow the donut and run to claim my prize!

Anyway, returning back to the fashion show..
Donning rich shades of black or gold, fellow "devotees" and bloggers were offered the regal Salute ensembles that embodies opulence and sophistication.

What I truly adore about Wacoal Malaysia's fashion showcases are the detailing and effort captured in each styling.

As always, the models looked hauntingly beautiful with beehive hair styles and porcelain skin which captured the imagination of everyone present.

Indeed, from brassieres and panties to garter belts, Salute (which literally means ‘a gesture of respect or polite recognition’) has evolved from just designing evening slips in 1983 in Japan, to creating a full range of intimate apparels beaming with captivating hues and dashing details. Today, as if a shimmering pearl afloat on the waves of luxurious lingerie, Salute by Wacoal is ever more radiant than it was shaped 30 years ago.

After the fashion showcase, guests were invited for a fitting consultation which were conducted by their lovely team of Beauty Advisors.

Throughout the evening, every guests were busy browsing through the Salute's (and Wacoal's) latest offerings.

So, last week I managed to catch a preview screening of The Wolverine starring the hunky Hugh Jackman.

Thing is, I always have a soft spot for X-Men ever since I watched the cartoons on TV. Ok, so I skipped the comics and moved straight to the animated version, don't hate on me! Reckon I'm not the only one!

Anyways, I never missed watching the X-men movies on the big screen, even X-Men origins: Wolverine (which was superb!). So, you can bet I was gona watch The Wolverine once its out in cinemas!

Thanks to Malaysia's Hottest Bloggers and Fox Malaysia, I got myself two passes to the show! With my popcorn and usual movie partner in tow (my 2nd bro), it's time to watch one of the most anticipated movie of the year!

A brief synopsis of the movie (without giving out too much details)....

In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before. Written by Twentieth Century Fox

Directed by James Mangold, "The Wolverine" stars a number of familiar faces! Hugh Jackman reprises his role as the renowned mutant, Wolverine - a role that he personified incredibly well. Joining him are Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova and Famke Janssen (who play Jean Grey in the X-men movies)

Set in beautiful and scenic Japan, "The Wolverine" sets apart a different ambiance from its usual X-men movies. Logan (Jackman) was invited by Yashida, a man that he saved back during the world war. Wanting to wish him goodbye for the last time, Logan obliged, only to discover Yashida had ulterior motives for inviting him to Japan.

With Japanese cultures and customs (and ninjas!), you feel like you're transported to another world.

The villains in this movie are sad to say, rather predictable. I totally saw it coming from the start of the movie itself.

Although, I gota say this scene with the ninja robot was kinda cool! You get to watch the vulnerable side of Wolverine in this movie. There were times were I felt bad for him! But he did land himself a sidekick, who totally kicks a**

Rila Fukushima makes her debut role in "The Wolverine" as Yukio. You don't wanna mess with her!

Surely there will be romance in this movie. Who can ever resist the hunk that is Hugh Jackman! The beautiful Tao Okamoto plays Mariko Yashida; the granddaughter of Yashida. Throughout the movie, Logan (Jackman) protects Mariko as her life becomes threatened when her grandfather died, leaving his company to her.

~ TGA VERDICT ~

I wouldn't want to give away to much of the movie as I rather you lovies savour the suspense when you watch the movie for yourself! Honestly speaking, I didn't enjoy the movie as much. In my opinion, I wish there were more mutants in the show (as it is still a X-Men franchise anyway). The movie felt rather flat and definitely was a bit of a letdown. But hey, that's just my opinion!

Whatever it is, all X-Men fans will have to watch this movie nonetheless!

How does hanging out at the rooftop of View, overlooking the stunning KL city skyline at night adorned with the glitzy "Flash" sounds to you? Well, if you ask me, it's sounds uh-mazing!

The hip and happening The Lilac Box teamed up with the lovely peeps of Jimmy ChooParfum to celebrate a night of pure fun and laughs (mixed in with some tasty cocktails!)

Held at the scenic View located at GTower, it was the ideal spot to have this chill out sesh. It was surprisingly warm even though we were seated at the rooftop area, but I guess that was due to the glitzy and captivating "FLASH"

In case you haven't already heard, FLASH is the latest fragrance of the beloved brand, Jimmy Choo. I adored the debut fragrance and was very much anticipating to catch a whiff of Jimmy Choo's second fragrance - FLASH

The Story

Anticipation. Build-up. Excitement. Those heartbeat moments every woman feels whilst getting ready to go out for an evening of unadulterated fun. That’s where this story begins. Introducing FLASH, the second fragrance from Jimmy Choo.

According to Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi, “FLASH is about the cool rush of excitement and the sense of power a woman feels when dressed in a pair of sexy shoes. Its character, which is both heady and effervescent, captures this perfectly.”

Just one look at FLASH, and it is sure to capture your attention.Encasedin a luxurious, shimmering, crystal faceted bottle, reminiscent of a paparazzi flash bulb, FLASH is for the glamorous, urban woman. How perfect for me! *Lol*

According to Choi, “We see fragrance as another accessory, we want women to feel as excited as they do when they buy a pair of shoes or a handbag.”

The inspiration behind the bottle was a modernist chandelier from the 1970s. Staying true to the FLASH story, the bottle was designed to play with light and illuminating with shimmering mesmerizing effect. Its somewhat seems encrusted with small glass studs on three sides. Plus, the colour of the bottle takes its inspiration from the ultraviolet lights of a nightclub and alludes to the flash of a paparazzi bulb. It is at once cool and electric.

Truly a luxurious and sophisticated look! The sparkling finish also reflects the effervescent spirit of the fragrance itself.

FLASH incorporates solar floral based around a bouquet of white flowers. Evoking the promise, excitement and high octant atmosphere of going out, it is both effervescent and sensual!

The Fragrance

FLASH is a white floral with a character that is effervescent, carnal and provocative. The perfumer, Christine Nagel says, “I created FLASH for the self-confident, urban Jimmy Choo woman: sexy, rebellious and sophisticated. I imagined the sound of her heels, clicking on the streets of New York, London and Paris.”

The fragrance opens with pink pepper, tangerine and strawberry, for a fresh, sparkling introduction. As these glittering top notes evaporate, heart notes of strong, exotic white flowers, with a tuberose signature enriched with notes of jasmine and white lily, reveal a heady, sexy character. A base of white, powdery woods gives a lasting impression that is both seductive and sensual, but never too much. “As a brand, Jimmy Choo is so resolutely feminine that the perfume had to have a sensual background. I used white woods, a contemporary note that gives a feminine, sophisticated touch but maintains luminosity,” says Nagel.

~ TGA VERDICT ~

I can at times be picky when it comes to fragrances. I guess as I'm getting older, I am appreciating more mature and sensual scents. Reckon that's one reason why I am hooked on FLASH. It may seem a little overpowering at first (just like the Jimmy Choo debut fragrance) but gradually and surely, I loved the scent!

It somewhat smells sweet, fruity, floral, feminine and sexy - all compressed to one alluring fragrance that is FLASHby Jimmy Choo
Plus, it lingers on the whole day too! Hence, amazing staying power...

The bright lights of KL suits the theme of FLASH rather nicely!

It was great catching up with the gorgeous lovies and also meeting new faces! Treated to different mixes of Absolut Vodka and finger foods (we were all so hungry that we finished up the platter within minutes); it was a night of laughs, gossips and photos!
